They must make several decisions about the farm, practicing several common core math standards along the way. Students will love acting as a farmer, and you will love the enriched math practice they get along the way.

⭐ HERE ARE THE TASKS STUDENTS WILL COMPLETE:

•Farm Planning: Students use addition/subtraction within 100 or 1,000 (differentiated) to select the animals and crops for their farm.

•Farm Layout: Students measure animals using an inch ruler and lay out the farm based upon the measurements.

•Garden Layout: Students use area and perimeter to lay out their garden.

•The Farmer's Schedule: Students create a schedule as the farmer to make sure animals are fed and crops are taken care of. 

•The Farmer's Market: Students will help customers count their money for their stand at the farmer's market, and help them make decisions about what they can/can't buy. 

•How's Business?: Students examine data about how many crops they sold last month and create a bar graph using the data. Students answer questions based on the data and bar graph.
