Summer Time | Resource Round Up

Summertime is on its way, and our hope everywhere is that it brings a little shred of normalcy back into our lives. Therefore, it really deserves some excitement this year! Today, I have a roundup of some great activities that celebrate summer, while also reviewing skills from the entire year! These are great activities to get ready now, so all of your May planning is taken care of! The products listed below are printable, but many of them include digital listings!

Summer Resource Round-Up:

Plan Your Teacher's Vacation | Mini Math Project

This mini-math project asks students to plan what they think their teacher should do over summer break! Students are given travel options, a planning sheet, itinerary pages, and writing toppers to create a fun vacation plan for their favorite teacher!

Plan a Summer Break | Math PBL

This end-of-year math review project asks students to plan all that they will do during their own summer break, which is extra fun! This is differentiated, just like all of my Math PBLs, so you can assign the two different versions to your different learners. This is a great way to build anticipation of summer break, while practicing a ton of math skills at once!

Run a Lemonade Stand | PBL Task

Does anything shout “summer” louder than a lemonade stand? In this math task, kids will plan a lemonade stand of their own…shop for supplies, create and ad, and design what the stand looks like!

Plan a Pool Party | PBL Task

Get your students excited about long, lazy days by the pool with this fun Math PBL Task! This brief math project asks students to figure out the supplies and planning they would need to throw a great pool party for their friends. They will then create an invitation and reflect on whether they have everything they need!

Run an Ice Cream Truck | PBL Task

A great way to celebrate the end of the year is with an ice cream party! And the perfect pairing to an ice cream party is a math project all about ice cream! Students will imagine that they are running their own ice cream in this PBL task. They will brainstorm, buy supplies, design their truck, and create a menu! Then, students will take orders from their classmates to calculate their earnings!

Summer Writing Prompts

This resource includes exactly what it looks like! A whole set of summer-themed writing prompts with summer page toppers that make for an adorable bulletin board or wall display the last few days of school. If you need a digital version of this product, check out the listing here!

Summer Choice Board

I have choice boards for every season in my TPT store, but the summer one is great for the end of the year. In the midst of the interrupted schedules, testing, and looser schedule, it’s great to have a grab-and-go option on hand that students can pull out and work on in any order they choose. This choice board gives students dozens of math and ELA tasks that they can do without any further instruction on your end!

Having a hard time choosing from this list? You don’t have to! Check out my summer resource bundle, and save almost $25! You’ll get everything listed above and more!
