Differentiated *DIGITAL* Math Projects!

Through all of the distance learning that has been sprung upon us so suddenly, one thing that’s been more difficult to achieve is the proper differentiation that our kids need! Students working at different levels can be more difficult to reach when they are all in one, giant Zoom call. Or, if you are communicating via email and posting work for students to complete alongside their families, it can be even more difficult!

In an attempt to help teachers fix this problem, I made my Math PBLs digital! If you already own my PBL projects, chances are good that the digital listing has been added to the file you own. Just re-download. If the digital listing isn’t there yet, it’s likely coming soon!

Each of my math PBLs comes with two versions:

1.) A simpler version which meets the 2nd grade math standards. The simplified pages have a circle in the corner to discreetly let teachers’ assign differentiated work to their students!

2.) A more complex version is also included in each PBL purchase. This version has a square in the corner of each page that’s slightly harder!

When you purchase one of my Math PBLs, you will download a PDF from my TPT store. This PDF has answer keys, some teacher tips, and links for a US, Australian, and Canadian version of each project! The different versions include different spelling of certain words, as well as different pictures of currency for the money portion of the project!

When you download your preferred version, you will be prompted to make a copy of the file into your Google Drive! You will need a Google account to use these Digital projects-and your students will, too!

In that master copy of each project, you will find both the circle and square pages in one file. You can…

1.) Share the entire project with your students as is, and let students know which pages to complete. OR

2.) Make a copy of the master in your drive and delete all of the circle or square pages, so you can share a version of the project that only has the pages you want them to complete!

To learn a little more about the types of PBLs I have in my store, take a look at my big bundle! There, you can preview each individual project and see which theme best fits your kids right now!

Happy teaching, everyone! I hope these differentiated projects help your students continue growing in math during this age of distance learning!
